| Biography |
Emma is a Respiratory Nurse Consultant who works for Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Knowsley Community Respiratory Service. Emma works across both secondary and community care providing acute in reach, respiratory virtual ward development and provision, works in collaboration with North West Ambulance Service on a rapid response respiratory car and undertakes community respiratory clinics. She is the Clinical Lead for Asthma and COPD discharge bundles with Innovation Agency, Respiratory Nurse Acute Care Lead for the Association of Respiratory Nurses (ARNs) and is on the European Respiratory Society taskforce for nursing curriculum. Emma is passionate about reducing health inequalities in respiratory care and is in the final phase of her PhD on improving palliative care for patients with COPD attending the emergency department.
