| Biography |
Dr Balraj Mavi is a GP with special interest in cardiometabolic medicine, working across 3 practices in the Black Country and Birmingham ICBs. He is the principal GP at Wordsley Green Surgery.
During his training, he gained an appreciation of population health and the impact of chronic disease. This led to him studying at Warwick University towards a Diploma in Diabetes.
He since has been appointed West Birmingham Diabetes Lead since 2021 and assists surgeries with population care and diabetes.
Within his roles, he has championed new models of care and supported PCNs with various projects.
Dr Mavi has further to this taken an honorary role as clinical tutor for medical students with University of Birmingham.
