David Zigmond worked as an NHS Principal GP and psychiatrist for more than fifty years (forty years in the same posts ) .He has taught and written widely about the often overlooked-yet-seminal psychological and social aspects of healthcare to both NHS practitioners and independent psychotherapists . He currently works with , and writes for , Doctors for the NHS and Citizen Network to secure the founding principles of the NHS , and secure its better sense and sensibility .
