| Biography |
Dr Smith is senior partner in a deprived, multicultural practice in Blackburn. He is an undergraduate tutor lecturer, G.P. trainer and appraiser.
He has a special interest in earlier diagnosis of cancer and works with CRUK, Macmillan and other cancer charities.
The projects he has orchestrated and the teams he has led for won multiple awards. He has been involved in the media campaigns of Help Us Help You to restore public confidence in presenting with cancer symptoms as we recover from the covid pandemic. He is co-founder of the “Let’s Talk Cancer” campaign and website.
Neil is married with 4 children. He is a keen sportsperson, a long-suffering Blackburn Rovers Football fan and is NHS veteran men’s triathlon champion. @DrNeilCancer
