Biography

Prof Sam Abraham MBBS MD Dip (card) PG Cert (PP) FRCP (UK)

Professor Abraham is a Consultant Geriatrician & has specialist interest in movement disorders. He is current Chair of British Geriatric Society Welsh Council (BGS Wales). He is also a member of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management and the clinical lead for older people’s services at BCUHB. He has contributed significantly in improving the Parkinson’s disease services, improving older people services across BCU including Frailty and dementia services.

He is an active member of the Royal College of Physicians and an examiner for the MRCP PACES examination.  Professor Abraham supports various clinical trials as Principle Investigator and has research interest in biomarkers for Parkinson’s disease.  He is an experienced Geriatrician & Educational Supervisor for trainees in Geriatric medicine and remains a strong advocate for improving older people’s services. @sampiras
