This Primary Care Respiratory Academy webinar discusses: when to suspect asthma; getting the diagnosis right; and patient focused early management.
Learning Objectives
- Understand how to take a careful history and perform a thorough clinical assessment
- Know how to use objective testing to support the history and clinical assessment in making a diagnosis
- Understand the appropriate use of FeNO and spirometry, and reversibility testing with spirometry, where available
- Be able to ensure sure peak flow testing is effective and reliable
- Appreciate best practice in management of newly diagnosed asthma, including careful initiation of ICS therapy and when to consider stepping up or stepping down therapy
