| Charles has been a consultant in Palliative Medicine for 30 years. Over the pandemic realised how many difficult conversations are had with patients about resuscitation and realised that we could make it easier for patients and ourselves by flipping the conversations. So developed “THe 4W’s +1 tool” an easy tool to have compassionate End of life conversations in less than 15minutes.
This tool has been tested in General Practice and primary care, care homes, and many acute hospital specialties from ED to ITU.
Charles offers this tool as a way to express the “voice of the heart”, and have effective compassionate conversations and decision making. |
