David retired from clinical urban General Practice, December 2020 after 30 years with an outstanding CQC.
He continues as Clinical Director of General Practice Alliance Federation in Northampton, leading on mental health, prevention, and personalisation. 2020 he founded a training hub in partnership with the University of Northampton WORTH ltd. https://www.worthwellbeing.co.uk/ .
With GPA and WORTH he has been involved in evaluation of Alphastim AID a Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES) device to aid people with anxiety in a social prescribing service. This is now developing into a business-as-usual model for spread to other services
He has held previous roles in mental health education and commissioning and engagement with Royal College of General Practice mental health programmes. He has received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Royal College of General Practitioners for his mental health work.
