Apart from his work in Lifestyle Medicine, Joe is also a recognised teacher of psychology with the University of Liverpool and an associate lecturer in postgraduate medical education at Edge Hill University.
Previously, he worked as a Senior Research Fellow in Medicine at Wirral University Teaching Hospital, exploring the use of lifestyle interventions alongside pharmacological methods, for treating hypertension in patients suffering with diabetes, cardiovascular disease and chronic kidney disease.
In line with the above role, Joe was appointed as the country’s first NHS Specialist in Integrative Health Practice. For over 30 years, he has been helping individuals to rediscover themselves and to help them back from the debilitating effects of stress, anxiety, depression and addiction in its various forms.
