Dr Emily Prpa is an award-winning nutritionist with a PhD in Nutritional Sciences from King’s College London. Her PhD research focused on the efficacy of novel functional foods for diabetes treatment and prevention. Emily has won several awards for science communications and has broad experience working within the food industry as well as working in food policy. During her time at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology she published policy briefs which examined the effect of the UK sugar tax and reformulation programs on public health.
Today she leads the Yakult UK and Ireland Science for Health department in communicating research on the gut microbiota, probiotics, and health.
