Biography

Dr Kulveer Mankia qualified in medicine from Oxford and undertook general medical training at the John Radcliffe Hospital as a NIHR academic clinical fellow. He trained in rheumatology at Oxford and Leeds. He was awarded the Overend Throup Scholarship and an NIHR clinical lectureship from Leeds and completed a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oxford. His area of interest is early and preclinical rheumatoid arthritis, including translational science, imaging and clinical trials. Dr Mankia is currently Associate Professor in rheumatology at the Leeds Institute of Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Medicine and Consultant Rheumatologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. He oversees the Pre RA research clinic and several clinical trials and observational research studies. He has been awarded grant funding as chief investigator from NIHR, Versus Arthritis and several industry partners.
