Nicholas is a salaried GP working in a central Oxford teaching practice. He also works as a GP Cardiologist through the Oxford University Hospitals. This reflects his research interest in cardiovascular disease and he is close to completing a PhD looking at the outcomes for people with heart failure and atrial fibrillation in the UK, with a view to improving anticoagulation through cost-effective service interventions. He teaches on the NB Medical Hot Topics GP Update course and writes for the RCGP Essential Knowledge Update Course. @drnrjones
