Over the last 30 years, Dr Speight has developed a special interest in Paediatric ME, a subject on which he has performed research and lectured widely. Dr Speight has seen over 700 cases. He is the Medical Adviser to several ME charities and served on the working party for the CMO which was reported in 2002, as well as the guidelines committee of the RCPCH.
