| Biography |
Dr Rabia Farooq is a highly experienced and respected consultant adult and addictions psychiatrist. She did her medical degree from Government Medical College in Srinagar, India, and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). She completed her training in psychiatry with the Charing Cross scheme. Dr Farooq has had her research work published and taught both undergraduate and postgraduate students at Imperial College London.
Dr Farooq, who was the medical director of the East Midlands region for the Priory Group, has a wealth of experience across acute inpatient and community mental health services. She specialises in ADHD, depression and anxiety alongside bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, OCD. She also diagnoses and treats first-episode psychosis, treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and borderline personality disorder.
