Riaan is a jobbing NHS GP and has been safeguarding lead in the NE for about 15 years.
He understands the pressures of work for NHS GPs and is aware that safeguarding work can be challenging and time consuming. He believes that we need safeguarding leaders in each GP practice.
Riaan is the director of Idos Health & Wellbeing CIC, a holistic health service in Newcastle upon Tyne. It is a blend of health services, complementary medicine and psychological therapies.
