Dr Sarah Jarvis, MBE, General Practitioner (GP), GP trainer, Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) and Visiting Professor of General Practice at the University of Huddersfield.
After training at Cambridge and Oxford Universities, Sarah became a partner in an inner-city London general practice in 1990. She was a GP trainer for 25 years and is an active medical broadcaster. She is doctor to several national TV and radio stations, including BBC channels. She is also clinical director of Patient.info, a health information website providing information to 10 million users a month.
She combines her clinical and broadcasting skills to moderate educational events across the world.
In December 2017, Sarah was appointed an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the New Year’s Honours list for services to public understanding of health and general practice. In February 2021 she was appointed Visiting Professor of General Practice at the University of Huddersfield.
