| Biography |
Dr Stellman developed an interest in chronic pain whilst working in a diverse inner city practice with deprived populations, where she found that people with fibromyalgia were presenting frequently but continued to feel unsupported and have unmet needs. She is currently co-leading a project in NWL across 6 PCNs developing a pathway offering people with high-impact chronic pain and fibromyalgia a personalised-care approach to their pain utilising MDT support from primary and secondary care. She co-facilitates monthly reflective practice sessions and a community of practice to support healthcare professionals across NWL with the challenges they face with this complex group of patients. Clinically she works as a salaried GP in Surrey and does a weekly clinic at a hotel housing asylum seekers and refugees. Outside her interest in pain and clinical work she has an interest in medical ethics, and is kept busy with her two children and dog.
